Yep, they are very equivalent in my mind as well. The dictionary in the Kindle is nice. It is lighter.
I like the screen slightly better on my 505 than the Kindle2 but in good light it doesn't matter much. I like the joystick on the Kindle better then the navigation ring on the 505.
