I had a feeling this newest act of lunacy would make travel even more difficult. I'm all for keeping everybody safe, but I still think the whole removing of shoes thing is incredibly stupid from the last botched attempt. One guy tries to ignite his shoes and the rest of us are now required to put them through the screener. It just doesn't make any sense. I agree that our airport security has become reactionary, with good cause to some extent, but what ever happened to common sense. The likelihood that someone is going to make an attempt at a failed act again is illogical. I would love to know if they found anymore "shoe bombs". If they really want to subvert any attacks on the plane, they need to do something about the person who sits in front of me and has to completely recline their seatback into my lap, especially when my tray is down and holding my cup of ice water!
