Hello and welcome! Here's a good place to find public domain books. I can't remember what the cutoff date is for US copyright though (too lazy to google, lol). I've also recently gotten hooked on smashwords.com, which is a great site with independently published books. There's tons of freebies on there, as well as super cheap books. If you get anything on there, you'll want to pick either LRF format or ePUB (I prefer LRF myself). And in case you don't know how, when downloading from another site you just save the file (somewhere easy to find), then go to your Library, click File then Import File, and select your books. They'll download automatically.

Enjoy your new Reader!
