That reminds me, I've been planning to buy Anathem for a while, maybe I should do it now that the price has gone under $10

The Baroque Cycle is my favorite work so far by Stephenson, but probably that has a lot to do with the subject matter. I am fascinated by this time period when the modern conceptions of science started to emerge. These books are one reason why I'm reading a biography of Louis XIV now.
Also, I wonder if I can change my vote? After all, 2009 isn't over yet. I just finished The Master and Margarita and was just a tiny bit disappointed by the end, so I'm wondering if I should vote for Amos Oz's Touch the Water, Touch the Wind instead. Oh well, both are beautiful books, so I guess I'll just vote for both.
