If anyone sees the Nook in person at B & N, they might still be looking at the units with the 1.0 software. If it looks slow as hell, it def hasn't been updated. The 1.1 firmware has made a difference.
I wrote that after I received the upgrade. The Nook is faster than it was before, but there is still much work that needs to be done in the software before I can recommend the Nook without qualifications. It is a good device, and I believe it will get there, but it's not there yet.
