Yep, just change your Country to "United States" in the
Manage Your Kindle section and you'll have access to a much larger selection.
It's not necessary to create a new account or pay with gift cards as your credit card billing address can be different from your "location".
I've bought a dozen books this way and haven't encountered any issues (nor have I received a letter from Amazon asking if I want to change my address).
