So the other day, I took my daughter to the orthodontist and of course, brought my reader along. While she reclined in the chair waiting for her adjustment, I sat on a stool next to her reading. The orthodontist came over and, before even looking at her, asked me about the device. I spent several minutes extolling its virtues while all the assistants gathered around to ooh and ahh. He seemed seriously interested in getting one for his wife. I spent more time "selling" the reader than he spent on the kid's teeth (we were in for a routine adjustment)! And really, I just wanted to get some reading in, he just kept asking more questions.
Oddly, when I took it to a gathering of geeks (BBQ + playing Risk, Magic, etc) there was much less excitement. Strange how some techies don't care about anything that happens away from the computer.

Even my husband, an avid reader, isn't interested in one yet.
