My husband bought me a fancy scanner so that I can start scanning in my old paperback books. He took weeks investigating which one would best suit our needs for scanning books and pictures. I have no idea what this one will actually do. It's going to take me a while to get up to speed on how to use the thing, but I'm looking forward to it. I will be out of commission for about 6 weeks after we get back from the CES as I need to have surgery, so it will give me something to "play" with.

Zack gave me the Marc Jacobs perfume I've been lusting over and Shannon bought me an Irish handknit reading shawl because I'm always so cold. Ryleigh (with my husband's help) bought me a couple of miniature wind-up toys to put on my kitchen window sill. My friend started giving them to me for various occasions and now I've got a real collection going.

It was a great day! I hope everyone was equally blessed.
