I just realized I could bypass the battery warning screen and go on reading, going to ride it out till its really dead and see how long it lasts. I read another 20 pages last night after it popped up the warning screen
update: still going after 4 hours of reading. starting to look like its not using a lot of power, just the battery meter is faulty.
