So, not all bad then? Okay, sorry, I'm projecting.
I hope you get your thaw, and I'm sorry to hear about the general suckiness.
We're very warm here, and quite humid. I'm hoping the wind doesn't change NE because there's a big bushfire in the National Park, and the smoke is thick and low (as my sister will attest - the wind is blowing it all her way).
The weather means the pool will be getting a workout tomorrow (adults, kids and dogs) as will the air-conditioning (well, not the upstairs one, because it's still broken seeing as the wrong part was delivered earlier in the week). Very soon I will go test the pool again (not with a water-testing kit - just with my body

).
Tonight The Loved One and I will be cooling down on the balcony at sunset each with a nice, large, cool glass of a
2002 De Bortoli Noble One. Today he just received news that, as the company he works for (and I once worked for) has been sold, his services will no longer be required, from about the end of June next year (though his contract should be paid out to mid-2012). This is good news in almost every way (some marginally concerning, but the good is still good, and the inevitability and unchangeability means it's important to make the most of the good than chew on and worry the bones of the bad).
Cheers,
Marc
