Ugh, random data loss, not good.
Anyway, the collections and bookmarks weren't too horrible to recreate.
Another weird symptom was that all the collection-referenced books that lost their bookmarks required a "Formatting..." pass on their first load, and when hitting each zoom level for the first time.
