I like the ribbon in principle but feel it has a lot of implementation problems. I saw a study that 7 of the top 10 requested features for previous versions of Office were already included. People just could not find them so I certainly understand what Microsoft is trying to do. But there were plenty of problems with 2007 including the lack of consistency and the bloat some of the apps are showing these days. I'd like to see some of the performance emphasis in Office that was in Windows 7.

There may be some hope for Office 2010 according to the PDF:

If they get the customization right, I think it could be a great feature in the end.
