Hi - just joined the forum.
I've had my Sony PRS505 for the last two years - my better half gave it to me as a Christmas present in 2007. I had made the mistake of discussing ebook readers with her, but said I'd wait a couple of years before buying one - and she decided to surprise me. Because the Sony wasn't on sale in the UK at the time, she got it for me from the States - and I can honestly say it has been my best Christmas present ever.
We had just moved to a smaller home, and the bulk of my 1500 paperbacks were in boxes in the loft - and if I wanted to change the fifty or so in the bookcase, it was a major exercise. Our village has a library - but it is closed on Saturdays, which is the only day I am home. And with travelling four hours on the train each day, you can understand my high turnover in reading material.....
The Sony has been great - once I got rid of the rubbish Sony cover, and replaced it with a Tuff-luv leather one. It's easy to use, light, portable, fits easily in my jacket pocket - and I have used it almost every day for the last two years.
So, as you can tell, I'm an ebook enthusiast!
