600 vs. 505

Got my new Sony Touch on Saturday (wasn't expecting FedEx to deliver on Saturday, so that was a pleasant surprise).

Love the additional features, and ergonomically it's hands down better than the 505, at least for my small, long-fingered hands.

Reading in the living room, where my chair is by a big window, I find little difference in contrast and readability from the 505, HOWEVER -

In the bedroom, where I read by a bedside table lamp, the 600 is nothing but eyestrain. Clipping on a Mighty Bright light helps, but it's awkward and changes the center of gravity and thus the ergonomics.

I got the 600 because I really needed the annotation ability, and except for the reflection/contrast issues, I'd be finding a new home for my 505 in a jiffy. But I do read a lot in bed, so I guess I'll be switching back and forth for awhile.

Oh well, I have 3 computers. Why not multiple ebook readers, too?
