We ended up getting over 22 inches of snow in Warrenton on Friday and Saturday and have had to cancel our road trip to Florida. A neighbor's son was going to take care of our dogs for us while we were gone and I didn't want him to deal with them and the 2 feet of snow (we've had to dig out paths in the yard for our little shih-tzus and our sheltie to go potty). Also, because we are slightly rural, our street has yet to be plowed. Hopefully, they will get to it today. We actually had a great time yesterday digging out with the rest of our neighbors and all this snow finally convinced my husband that we need to buy a snow blower (of course, our neighbors were very generous and happy to lend us theirs but I think we've held off long enough). Unfortunately, we weren't as prepared as Mike C. Because we were planning on being in Florida for the week, I hadn't done any grocery shopping. Luckily, a friend from Chicago had sent us Lou Malnati's pizzas as a Christmas gift! Yum! We should be able to get to the grocery store today so at least I'll be able to stock up on the essentials, though I doubt we'll be going farther afield than that.
