PC, Sony PRS 505, PRS 900, possible Nook and Kindle DX
I do most of my reading on my Dell HD 24" PC Monitor. In my opinion that beats all dedicated eReaders. I used to use the Microsoft eReader but have dropped that now due to lower prices elsewhere. However, for the rare times I am out of the house I also own a Sony PRS 505.
I ordered a new Sony PRS 900 to have the latest and greatest. The PRS 505 is too slow for my use of the Zondervan NIV in Bible Studies. I am hoping the PRS 900 will have a mega increase in speed. At the moment I use the Franklin BIB 475 dedicated Bible device with NIV, KJV and Holman's Refernece on board. However, their batteries only last about 2 hours of use before dying and requiring a recharge.
I buy my books now from Sony mostly, some from Barnes & Noble and some from Amazon. I choose my titles independently (mostly history, historical fiction and religion) and then buy from the lowest price source. It is also a fact that some historical fiction series have some books on one service but not on the other. Thus, I must buy from two suppliers to complete the series.
I also may buy a Nook since they charge less for some books than Sony and have some titles I want, not obtainable from Sony. Some books come at the lowest price from Amazon. I hear that Amazon is coming out with Kindle 3 to be called "CUE" at the CES in mid January. I may buy that as well. Their present Kindle 2 and DX are already obsolete IMHO compared to BN and Sony.
I plan on always having at least one book from Sony since I already have one of their eReaders and will probably have a second soon. I like reading books and playing with new hardware and software.
