Look, if there's solid evidence they're behaving acceptably I'll back down in an instant once I actually know about it, but Amazon do not have a good record. It's not in the same sort of terrible ballpark as say Ebay/Paypal, but it's not good either.

No, it needs to be called, and I freely admit I go out my way not to patronise companies doing that sort of thing! (I do patronise Baen a lot, and I buy a lot of books second hand because the alternate is DRM'ed ebooks)
