Sony has TWO versions of the Reader software

Sony has two versions of the Reader software. When you install Sony 3.1, be sure to UNINSTALL the prior version. The new version may not work if the old version is still on the disk. The new version installation does NOT uninstall the old version automatically.

Also, the new hard drive may have to be registered with Adobe 1.7.1 AGAIN. Since the book files have DRM associated with the particular hard drive, you will probably have to re-download them again. The old book files will probably be useless now.
