I need the extra ebook Readers because I like to confound people and make them feel socio-economically inferior to me. I also live in "mythic splendor," to quote the great Fantasist E.R. Eddison, which is the reason I feel every room should have its very own ebook Reader. Anything less, and I would feel like a street person living on the edge of technology, which is not acceptable to me at all. And finally, I enjoy seeing an army of recumbent, charging ebook Readers in various positions of rest, looking like a roomful of silent cuckoo clocks waiting to be wound.

Seriously: I live in a foreign country and redundancy is necessary in case something should go wrong with one unit.

I plan to buy the International Kindle 2 to add to my current U.S. only version. I was also seriously thinking about the Kindle DX, but I'll wait until the International Version comes out, especially since the current version is on Back Order.

I also plan to buy the Sony 300 and/or 600 to add to my 505.

I'll probably bring all my REB 11000 units and accessories (a lot!) with me back to the U.S. and put them up for sale here.

My Astak Pocket Pro (with peeling paint? - who knows!) is waiting for me in the U.S. I can't wait to get my symmetrical digits wrapped around its body, to steal a line from comedian W.C. Fields. Depending on how it behaves (and looks!), I'll either throttle it to death or sleep with it.
