In the case of "Stranger in a Strange Land" it is available at almost all US ebook stores, except Amazon. I don't see why B000TO0TDK is "not available for customers from: United States", since ACE is a long standing US publisher and is now part of Penguin Group (USA).

According to C. J. Cherryh's website, that's why her ebooks were pulled down. At some point she and a couple of other writers plan to sale ebooks from their own website. I have no idea why she doesn't just use Amazon.
