Okay, here's your first question. The seller said they've owned the 505 for 6 months. How can tell if the firmware has been upgraded to read ePub? I found and downloaded the firmware so I'm ready if I need to do the upgrade myself.

Also, I forgot to ask the seller if she de-registered it before it was shipped. I recall reading that there is a way to de-register and re-register it in my name but I can't find the thread. Do you know how to do it?
