My PRS500 just came in about an hour ago and I love it so far. It reformats PDFs so well I really didn't know what to expect for the reflow but it works very very well for my needs. For a device that has been collecting dust because I couldn't use it for the pdf files that I had, its going to now be secondly most used device after my DR1000S and my Iliad will be collecting dust. I used to love the PRS500 because of its small size (screen sharpness isn't quite as nice as my Irex's though) but once the things I was reading shifted to be more PDF based stuff from word documents my PRS500 just lost all its mojo but its back!

I have to admit with Sony doing something like this, offering a free upgrade, they move to the top of my list of companies I would buy another eink device from. The main fear with eReaders is that the device will become obsolete and Sony went above and beyond the call of duty to hook their customers up . The one downside is that I blame Sony for ruining the chances of me going outside for the weekend as I'm so excited to start reading books on this thing again I'm not sure I'll be able to move from my chair. I just hope I have enough food in my fridge to last me through.

And the turnaround time was amazing, I sent it out last Thursday and got it back today. They actually mailed it out on Wednesday but missed the cut off time for next day so it took an extra day, that's about 4 business days to do an upgrade, pretty sweet.

Great job Sony
