just have to disable one of the major selling points of the Kindle just to have a sensible safeguard, right. Oh, and I'd have to dance back and foward disabling it and enabling it every time I wanted to switch between using the website and the Kindle.

Yea,the fanboi in this scenario defending the broken way of doing things is perfectly, perfectly clear. There's no reason for eliminating the purchase review screen except to encourage accidental purchases, from my point of view.
