I've found Amazon's customer service people to be extremely helpful. In fact I was surprised at how willing they were to credit me back when I had accidently one-clicked when I meant to get a sample (I've done this two or three times since I got my Kindle). I've always wondered whether people were abusing the system by buying ebooks, keeping them long enough to read them, then returning them. I'm actually happy to learn that Amazon does monitor this and will put a stop to it if it becomes egregious.

As for formatting, I'm pretty forgiving of that and unless the book is missing whole sections, I will just plow through it anyway. Anyway, I sample most everything before I buy it. That has prevented me from buying a few that would have been virtually unreadable due to formatting issues.
