Every fire station has it and watching it at work occassionally reminds me never to waste my money of it at home. 100 odd channels of crap all on most of the time. I know what you mean regarding Pay TV ads - I remember getting pay TV when it was first introduced and was ecstatic there were no ads. Times have changed..
Personally, I'm just happy to have more choice for entertainment shows
