Noosa has something like 35 roundabouts, and 3 sets of traffic lights (I think 2 of them are pedestrian traffic lights, at schools).
People have been complaining that the roundabouts are insufficiently signposted for the large tourist influx. For instance, a three-exit roundabout might have a sign marking one of your available exits "Noosa Heads", and the other "All Other Destinations". This is thought to be confusing.
However, somewhere I recently read that too many signs at intersections can (in very general terms) lead to an increase in accidents, as people are trying to figure what exit to take/where to go, and not paying sufficient attention to the traffic. I'm wondering if this is what's behind the "All Other Destinations" thing.
Regardless, it tickles me, that "All Other Destinations" thing...like if you take that exit, then the universe is your marine bivalve mollusc.
I think I might write a poem called "All Other Destinations"...
