My first ebook, as far as I can remember, was The Hacker Crackdown: Law and Disorder on the Electronic Frontier by Bruce Sterling. And the main reason was because it was free-I had a new Palm that included reading software (don't even remember the software-might have been eReader, or maybe MobiPocket) so I wanted to try it out. Second reason was because it was a subject I was interested in. Interesting book, by the way.
