It was snowing today, so I thought a walk in the park would be nice. Ended up saving a silly puppy who, having run away from his human (as puppies do) thought it a grand idea to find out if he could walk on the frozen lake right in front of me. Turns out he couldn't. I brought him out frozen and wet but unfazed: he started running around enthusiastically as soon as his paws touched solid ground, and I'm sure he would happily conduct his ice-walking experiment again, had he not been forcefully removed from the vicinity of the lake by his panicked human

I love the happy innocence of dogs, even if I'm all wet and frozen myself now.
