Long time mac user, 1983 was my first. Long time ebook reader, and have the cybook. We may not have any programs from the company, but we have absolutly so much fewer problems.

First you can either use a card reader writer to put on and take off the books. Always empty the trash to make sure they are gone.

Second, no problems doing the "lets plug in the entire reader", you do the same thing, drag and drop, once they appear on the screen in the book folder they are there, you can just unplug you don't need to dismount. You can if it makes you feel better, but not necessary.

Third, all those problems the windows users registered with updating the rom. We have no problem, the folder is right there on our desktop, we just drag and drop, it updates and you are golden.

True we don't have their nifty programs to help them update programing and download ebooks, but if you are into commercial mobipocket ebooks, you do not need those. I have probably put on and read and taken off close to 400 ebooks since I purchased the thing. Much stronger thumb is the only problem I have had.
