One of the books I'm currently reading is Jew Boy by Alan Kaufman. It's an autobiographical work by a New York raised son of a holocaust survivor that shows how the suffering of the victims didn't end with the close of World War II, but instead was passed down to succeeding generations. Read in conjunction with his poem, "Who Are We?", it presents a vivid and disturbing portrait of how the Nazi horrors left indelible scars that still haunt families over 60 years later.
