The Sony cover measures about 5.9". Your measurements are making me think this could work, I was a little nervous because the M-Edge site says that it is 6.1" wide not 5.75". Were your measurements with the e-luminator in?
Otherwise I am thinking maybe I will buy one of the e-luminator's and try and figure out a way to build a pocket into a normal sony cover (which I already have) so the light hangs out over the top.
