When I looked at the Sony light covers at Best Buy, they looked much bulkier than the M-Edge cover. They also felt heavier. I didn't have my light yet and I was still using a 505 cover on my 600 which is about a 1/4" shorter than the new 600 cover so I couldn't do a side by side comparison. I will try to fit the whole thing in my parka pocket and let you know if it fits.
