Unfortunately back to work tomorrow. Cold snap should break by the end of the week.

The low temperatures last night actual demonstrate the urban heat island effect nicely:
Overnight low at the airport: -46C (15 km from the edge of town)
Overnight low downtown: -36C
Overnight low on my thermometer: -39C (We're between downtown and the airport - near the edge of town)
