Smile Best Ereader for a Student

Hello all! I'm here to get input to help me decide on what my first ereader should be!
Basically what I want is the best ereader for annotating. I want to be able to underline, highlight, write in the margins, make seperate notes, circle things, draw on the page, etc. I understand that this means the best way to go is irex, but that's just too much money.
Second most important thing is readability of textbooks, other books and personal documents put on the device. I NEED a reader that lets me mark up my own files. That's an absolute requirement I can't bend on.
Last is I'd really like a device with expandable memory, but I suppose I can live without that....
Thanks for the help!
