Iʻve been
sewing and
gathering, sizing, scraping, tying and stripping (no, not my clothing) nonstop. Nothing went quietly enough. I am exhausted. Did I mention the
tying and brushing? Tomorrow I have to get up at 6:30 to go and try to collect the
proper flowers from the side of the roads. I have to do this tomorrow so I can string a lei and make some hairpieces and pray they donʻt go bad before tomorrow afternoon.
All for the joy of an hour-performance tomorrow for two of my three children. The third one was booted from class. Heʻs a bit of a non-conformer. And thatʻs a bit of an understatement
Hmm. Maybe this post belonged on the "what are you doing right now" thread. But, to reiterate, I wish it had passed by quietly. Just one more week and my life will slow down a little....
*disclaimer* all images are chosen for their close resemblance to actual works of art sitting at my house right now. None of those pictured actually belong in my family. My work looks way better than any pictured here. I know this because I worked my ass off and got no sleep and therefore, the love (aka blood sweat and tears) put into it makes it a much higher quality of work.
