I have a rather strange bit of detail on my DELL's current state of inoperability:
I inserted the service CD/DVD that came with the computer, into the DVD drive so I could finally return missing or eradicated files.
The damn hard drive clunked out the first five minutes I tried to fix it using the service pack.
Could it be the disk that caused it to crash?
