I was reading the little wifi insert in the last issue of Conde Nast Traveler that many airlines are adding wifi routers to fleet on their long-haul flights as an inticement for business travelers.
I obviously live in the States, and in a choice between taking the Amtrak Metroliner with wifi service or the Delta/US Airways shuttles b/w NYC and DC and wifi were involved, I know lots of people who opt for the train so that they can get work done. It's not unusual to see staff meetings on the Metroliner.
The fare is roughly the same price between air and train too.
