I have to say, before I purchased my PRS-600, I did my research, to my dismay there was much talk of the glare being too much, the unit freezing up, and many other complaints. For this reason I almost didn't buy it. I went to my local best buy and looked at their display. I decided to throw the complaints to the wind and give it a shot. I am thrilled that I did!! I have a 500, a 505 and now the 600. The new features on the 600 make it my absolute favorite. I am lovin' the dictionary! The glare that everyone spoke of does not seem that major a problem for me. I found that I actually had to concentrate on noticing the glare. Yes, I will admit there is more glare on the 600 than the previous two models, but when I am deep in a book and truly enjoying it, I don't even notice any glare. As for the "freeze ups", so far, so good, I have not had a problem with that either. If you are even considering the 600, I say do it! My husband has now inherited my 505, so he is thrilled and the 500 is of being updated and will be our "back-up" if anything happens to our main readers.
