When I wrote the post, I was working on a machine with Windows 7 Premium, verified the Math Input Panel under Accessories, and I wrongly assumed that it also would be on the CT9W7.
There is something like the Text Input Panel with the MyScript Stylus 3.0 software on the CT9W7.
Keep that in mind as you search for the right device.

Thanks a lot for clarifying. I was already wary of Windows 7 Starter Edition, it has so many bottle necks in its software. I'm thinking of just buying the cheaper XP version and then reformatting with a Windows 7 Pro license from MSDNAA.
@pphilipp How bad do you find the keyboard? What is the lengthiest type of document you could find yourself writing out with it?
I looked into the MessagEase, looks interesting.
