Page number bar

Cool-er has a page number estimate bar at the bottom. It basically estimates how far along you are in the book, it shows if you are in the middle or near the end. It also have a page number but unless you know how many pages there are in the book saying you are on page 20 doesn't necassarily help much, you could be on page 20 of 30 or page 20 of 200.

On the Cool-er you can also turn off the bar if you so desire.

Cool-er does support DRM epub and PDF, its PDF reflow is decent, not wonderful but it is readable without the reflow issues being overly distracting. Epubs show up find, though they do have the epub ghosting page number thingy (its a epub "feature" not a Cool-er thing)

If you are in the UK I think Cool-ers are sold in Waterstones as well as online?

The Sony's have the benefit of being around for a while now and in general stable firmware. The screen on the PRS300 will be smaller.

If I was going with the Astak it would be because of the page turning buttons, which I believe are on the side? Not on the bottom like the Cool-er and Sony PRS 300.

Let us know what you go with!
