I don't believe it.

One thing I've noticed is that whenever a new ebook reader is released, MR sees a jump in membership. A certain percentage of those who just bought the device will find MobileRead through Google.

My rule of thumb is that the percentage is similar for all the devices. This would mean that we are seeing fewer Nook owners than expected because not very many devices were shipped.
