What a great gift for you wife! Wouldn't it be funny if you opened up your Christmas present from her only to find out that she got you some sort of ebook reader as well?
On a side note, my best friend would ALWAYS open up and try out the presents that she got me for Christmas / birthdays, and I really would never mind at all. Not that I'm suggesting you give the Nook a whirl before wrapping it up...
