The Kindle uses 'location' markers, which will always go to the same text. But you don't get page numbers.

The nook seems to follow the 505's lead and behaves pretty much the same way. The ePub/PDF support via ADE is pretty much identical to the 505 too, which actually makes for a surprisingly consistent experience.
