Sorry about the no replies. I missed your post also.
I often wondered about all the views and no replies on posts, also. The only thing I could come up with is that we have so many people who come to this site who are not registered members that they view the threads and move on.
I own a Sony 505, but don't have a lot of tech skill. I still use the v2.5 of the eBookLibrary with no problems. I haven't ventured into newer versions because of some of the problem threads and being afraid I wouldn't know how to "fix" it. I usually wait until most of the problems are worked out on the new stuff before I try anything.
As to your problem, I went back and read your post. You already tried the "solution" that I had already seen given by others. I don't know of any other threads with additional help. Hopefully, the version coming out on Dec 11th will solve your problem.
