I actually had the Kindle in my shopping card ready to click the ORDER button, until I found out that the Sony was compatible with epub and Adobe PDF library books. My libraries have much bigger selections of these two formats as opposed to mobipocket, and I felt I would use this feature alot. The sony was also $100 cheaper at the time. And the extra features that the kindle had weren't worth it to me. I have never been interested in converting formats or stripping drm, so I felt that the Sony was a better fit for me.
