Yes, that's what I meant. The reproductions of the manuscripts should have the same copyright as the mansucripts, i.e., none. But then it seems photographs of paintings don't have the same copyright as the paintings...

Now, if there are some notes detailing which edition has which errors, those will have a new copyright.
