Wow, that is terrible. Have you looked into anything from the government? They seem to be more than willing to give away money now? Did the contractor have no assets you could put a lien on, or were you one of many? I dont understand how you can seem so cheerful here, we had a contractor (landscaper) take us for $700 for a deposit on a lawn he was supposed to install - he is also in jail now. But I still get angry every time I think of it!! You are a better person than I am!
