It really is exciting, KK. I didn't preorder a nook, mainly because we ended up with the netbooks, but I'm still anxious to see the feedback when people actually get the nook in hand and have time to get used to its quirks. I'll go do a hands on with a demo unit when I can (nearest BN is over 40 miles away and we're bracing for the season's first big snowstorm here, so it'll be at the earliest this weekend).

I still haven't decided on whether I will eventually get another e-ink device, or whether I will wait until Pixel Qi technology appears on something with a tablet form factor with touchscreen running Windows.

But, as Daffy said, competition is GOOD. I'm also excited about BN's bringing their ebook prices into line with Amazon (as stated in gizmodo's review), because I do buy a lot from them, even with Kindle 4 PC now available to me.

I'm slowly coming around to what seems to be a pretty common point of view: I'd like to see all the major players using ePub - so your library would be swappable according to what device you like best. (A girl can dream, right?)
