I've got the original on DVD, but I struggle to appreciate it - I'm not sure how seriously it's taking itself; and we're spoiled by better production values these days.

I much prefer Quentin's film (even with the surprising number of continuity errors; I'm sure they're deliberate and mean something deep).

Also, I love Tarantino's homage of Pabst - because Pabst's films with Louise Brooks are some of my all-time favourites.
