I wish I knew what it was that jaded him so that I can avoid it and continue to explore and connect with the communities around me.
I'm thinking it's not 'jaded' but rather a deep-seated fear of personal interaction and a need to dominate the 'conversation'. You can't really get that if you have to deal with all those obstreperous and obnoxious PEOPLE who are, naturally, going to insist upon giving feedback.
